A one day course outlining issues related to fund level performance measurement of non-listed real estate funds. In particular, the course will examine the practicalities behind performance measurement including fund valuation and leverage. The course will specifically address issues that arise from current market circumstances and which impact funds’ performance, concentrating on the impact this has on the measurement.The course will cover the following topics:
• Different ways to measure performance, e.g. total return, fee metrics, efficiency
• How do you look beyond the top line figure and judge the quality?
• Which measures are relevant or add value for certain types of funds? Who should attend the course?
The course will be of interest for investors, fund managers as well as advisors involved in this part of the real estate funds industry; more in particular for those who play a central role in the determining or analysing of fund performance. Suitable for middle management, applicants should have some years of experience within the real estate funds industry.
