Global energy-related emissions need to be net zero by 2050 in order to have a fair chance to limit global temperature rise at 1.5 degrees. Warming beyond this level will significantly increase the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events and sea level rise.

Real Estate is at the centre of efforts to limit these changes and decarbonise energy supply and consumption.

A new paper published by INREV, ‘The Impact of Net Zero Carbon’, outlines the current landscape in terms of energy use and carbon emissions in the built environment and the steps that need to be taken to achieve Net Zero Carbon including the rationale for setting targets and how to execute these targets effectively.

Investors joining the Investor Only Seminar in Copenhagen on 17 November can hear more about this paper and further insights around Carbon Net Zero.
