This time last year I announced our intention to embed a global approach into all our initiatives. This was to reflect the natural development of the industry but also to support the further flow of capital to Europe by engaging with the other regions. In June, the annual INREV Young Professionals Seminar was held for the sixth time. This one and a half day event allows young professionals in the non-listed real estate industry to experience, learn and broaden their knowledge and to meet their peers to gain new perspectives on the industry. INREV celebrates its tenth anniversary at its conference in Barcelona. Legendary pop singer, Freddie Mercury, described Barcelona as the “jewel in the sun” in his homage to the city. It was certainly a great setting for the 2013 Annual Conference - the eighth to date. The Annual Conference in Barcelona was a chance to celebrate our 10th anniversary but, appropriately, it was also an occasion at which we made bold plans for the next decade.
