AIFMD review in full swing

AIFMD, the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive, was developed in steps and finally came into full effect in July 2014. Its adoption marked a watershed in the regulation of real estate investment in Europe and reflected regulators’ desire to increase systemic stability, transparency and investor protection.
