In 2020 the Nick Tyrrell Research Prize has been awarded to joint authors Jean-Christophe Delfim and Prof. Martin Hoesli of the Geneva School of Economics and Management University of Geneva, for their paper, 'Real Estate in Mixed-Asset Portfolios for Various Investment Horizons’

This paper focuses on the importance of long-term investing to institutional investment and the importance of the real estate activities of long-term institutional investors to the wider economy, society and the environment.

Brenna O'Roarty, Executive Director at RHL Strategic Solutions and Maarten Jennen, Senior Director - Strategist Private Real Estate at PGGM, discuss the The Coming of Age: the rebirth and renewal of the non-listed real estate industry 2019 paper.

This paper sets out the evolution of the industry from 2004 to the present, evaluating the catalysts driving the re-birth, renewal and coming of age of the industry and the changes participants and products in non-listed real estate have experienced during this period.

The 2019 Nick Tyrrell Research Prize has been awarded to joint authors Felipe Carozzi and Christian A.L Hilber, London School of Economics & Centre for Economic Performance and Xiaolun Yu, London School of Economics for their paper, 'The Economic impacts of help to buy'.

The winners of the 2018 Nick Tyrrell Research Prize presented the findings from their paper, ‘Optimal Composition of Hybrid/Blended Real Estate Portfolios’, followed by a panel of experts who will discuss the practical applications of the research ideas.
