Erwin Stouthamer Research Grant Seminar 2018 presentations

In memory of the late Erwin Stouthamer INREV and ANREV each awarded an academic research grant to two leading universities to carry out research on the topics of the real estate illiquidity premium and currency risk. During the seminar Professor Marc Francke from the University of Amsterdam presented highlights of the Real Estate Illiquidity Premiums study, and Nick Mansley from Cambridge University presented findings on the Impact of Currency Risk on the Performance of Asia Pacific non-listed real estate funds.

The Funds of Funds Study 2017 provides an overview of the fund of funds industry globally, including insights by target region, by style and structure and other associated characteristics, as well as detailed analysis of the performance of funds of funds.

For the third time, the study is international in scope, and was conducted in conjunction with ANREV in Asia Pacific.

The panel will be comments on topics such as investors’ changing real estate allocations, which non-listed real estate vehicles they intend to invest in and how fund managers will respond to that demand.  The speakers also discuss which markets will be most attractive in 2018 and examine the preferences of investors from around the globe by style, structure, region and sector.
