Introduction to INREV NAV

This first INREV eLearning module will provide delegates with a practical understanding of basic INREV NAV standards. This additional service in our training programme will provide a stepping stone to the classroom training, making sure that everyone is at the same level before they undertake the more advanced courses. Of course, it is also a great way to update or refresh your knowledge on INREV NAV.

Overview
Participants in the Introduction to INREV NAV eLearning module will acquire a good understanding of basic INREV NAV standards. Topics covered include basic concepts of INREV NAV, INREV NAV adjustment categories, calculations of various adjustments as well as disclosure of INREV NAV.

At the end of the eLearning module, your knowledge will be tested in a quiz.

    • Category 1: Reclassification of certain IFRS / local GAAP liabilities as components of equity
    • Category 2: Fair value of assets and liabilities

Who should attend?
The eLearning module will be of interest to accountants, investors, fund managers as well as advisors involved in this part of the non-listed real estate industry who wish to gain a basic understanding of INREV NAV or refresh their knowledge upon the INREV NAV standards.

Please be aware that this eLearning module also counts as prerequisite for participation in the Advanced NAV classroom training.

Upon completion of the training, delegates should:

  • Be familiair with the basic concepts of INREV NAV
  • Know how to calculate some of its adjustments
  • Understand good practice around disclosure 

This initial eLearning module is free and open to members as well as non-members.

Terms and conditions

INREV currently offers this eLearning module free of charge to support members with increased online offerings during this period of uncertainty.

General

1.1. INREV eLearning modules are open to Representatives and other interested individuals, not being Representatives (Non-Representatives).

1.2. For Representatives, the Membership Terms and Conditions fully apply to INREV eLearning modules. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between any provisions of these eLearning modules Terms and Conditions and the Membership Terms and Conditions, first the eLearning modules Terms and Conditions and then the Membership Terms and Conditions shall prevail.

1.3. Representatives and Non-Representatives will hereinafter together be referred to as “Applicants”.

1.4. The costs of attending an INREV eLearning module (Attendance Fee) is for members and non-members for free. 

1.5. Admission to any INREV eLearning module is subject to registration. If you are a Representative and the Member you represent has not yet paid their annual INREV membership fee, INREV will not confirm registration of any of their Representatives until payment is made If an Applicant personally has any outstanding invoices with INREV, INREV will not confirm registration for INREV eLearning module until full payment of all outstanding invoices is made.

1.6. All personal data provided to INREV by Applicants, during the application process or afterwards, will be processed in accordance with the Privacy Statement of INREV, which can be found on the INREV website.

 

Cancellation and no-show policy

2.1. When registering for an INREV eLearning module, INREV will inform Representatives of the applicable attendance fee. Attendance Fees may differ for Representatives and Non-Representatives.

2.2. After registration for the eLearning module, cancellation is no longer possible. After registration the full fee is due.

Miscellaneous

3.1 If any provision (or part of a provision) of these eLearning module Terms and Conditions is found by any court or administrative body of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, unenforceable or illegal, the other provisions shall remain in force.

3.2 If any invalid, unenforceable or illegal provision would be valid, enforceable or legal if some part of it were deleted, the provision shall apply with whatever modification is necessary to give effect to the commercial intention of the parties.

3.3 These eLearning module Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.

3.4 The competent court in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, shall have jurisdiction to settle any dispute in connection with the eLearning module provide by INREV and/or these eLearning module Terms and Conditions, without prejudice to the right of appeal and that of appeal to the Supreme Court.
