Angela Crawford-Ingle

Partner, Ambre Partners

As the INREV Guidelines goes through the final stages of its revision, one person that has been instrumental in providing expertise and continuity is Angela Crawford-Ingle.

Angela was one of the original chairs of the INREV Reporting Committee and her accumulated experience of the INREV Guidelines through that committee as well as the INREV training courses, has made her an important part of the team through their revision.

“The reporting guidelines really were ground-breaking when they were introduced in 2007 and it has been very gratifying to see them become industry standard and integrated as part of the wider INREV Guidelines. We always knew that the original guidelines were a first step on the road so I was very pleased to be asked to work with the membership to update the guidance and incorporate the experience of using them over the years. While the majority remains unchanged, feedback from members means we can fine tune them to that ensure they remain practical and relevant,” she said.

Angela was instrumental in the discussions with REIS and has led the fee metrics and the performance measurement projects and is also involved in the net asset value (NAV) discussions, which ensured a link between these projects. “Aspects such as reporting and NAV may not come immediately to mind as the most exciting parts of the market but they are crucial building blocks in making this industry successful.”

Angela first became involved with INREV as the partner leading the Real Estate team in PwC. She left in 2009 to set up Ambre Partners, a consultancy specialising in providing support to institutional investment vehicles. She remained involved with INREV and is a regular trainer and course presenter, including for the popular Foundation Course.

Angela also acts as moderator for the CFO Conference where her knowledge of the operating side of funds has been greatly appreciated by attendees. “Being involved in the training and events is great fun. It means I am in touch with a wide and growing network and that I can continue my education on how the industry is evolving,” she said.
