Standard Data Delivery Sheet (SDDS) Working Group

A busy summer

The final stages of the process to launch the Standard Delivery Data Sheet (SDDS) have resulted in a busy summer for the SDDS Working Group.

The SDDS standardises the main quantitative contents of the quarterly reporting data which is passed from fund managers to investors. This is with the aim of streamlining the reporting process while providing more consistency and comparability.

With the SDDS’s launch scheduled for the beginning of next month, the focus for the group over the summer has been on reviewing the recommendations from the consultation process and incorporating feedback into the final version.

The consultation process was based on a White Paper launched in April, which had already incorporated the results of two workshops and a series of one-on-one interviews with investors.

For this second round of consultation, feedback has come from a number of sources which has resulted in the contents of the SDDS being reviewed by a wide cross-section of the industry.

In June and July INREV held four roundtables across Europe to gather views on the latest release of the SDDS. These events attracted around 100 participants in total. Additional responses were received from individuals as well as through a proactive approach to consultants by INREV to gain input from this part of the market.

Finally, feedback has also been put forward by other property associations including ANREV, PREA and NCREIF/REIS to try to make the SDDS as globally applicable as possible.

The Working Group will complete the final version of the SDDS for Management Board approval later this month with the aim to launch it to the membership in early October.
