Anne Böker

Professional Standards Associate

Anne Böker, Professional Standards Associate, timed her arrival well at INREV. Starting just as the INREV Guidelines 2014 were launched, she gets to focus on the next generation of standards for the industry.

Although the revision is complete, there is no quiet period for Anne and the team, which is now focusing on implementation, promotion and support.

The Guidelines will continue to assist with INREV’s aims to be more global, and to promote a wider range of non-listed products. To this end, Anne is setting up a number of focus groups (see page 3), which will bring together members to help with implementation for specialist products such as debt funds and opportunity funds, as well as global groups to work with ANREV and the Real Estate Investment Standards (REIS) to bring consistency in areas such as INREV Net Asset Value and Fee Metrics. Anne is also looking to provide more on-theground support by setting up an effective process to answer members’ queries on the Guidelines with the support of the committees and working groups.

German-born Anne completed a Masters in Real Estate Economics and Management, before working in the consultancy team at a bank in Hannover. She moved to Amsterdam to gain more international experience and joined INREV after a stint in asset management at a Dutch developer. “The funds industry is really interesting. Before, my work was more technical and focused on one asset at a time and the work INREV does will help give me a broader perspective,” she says.
