Jeff Rupp

INREV Director Public Affairs

INREV recently welcomed Jeff Rupp, who joined the staff as Director of Public Affairs. Jeff has worked for several years as a financial writer and editor and has a long association with INREV though writing articles and editing research reports. He has also been the editor of the INREV Quarterly since the beginning of last year. Jeff studied both economics and law and before moving to the Netherlands worked for several years as a lawyer in Washington DC where he was involved in legislative and regulatory development.

In his new position, Jeff will be responsible for INREV’s public affairs programme, including establishing an office in Brussels in the next year or two, and the professional standards portfolio, including corporate governance, reporting, due diligence, secondary markets and liquidity, and sustainability. “I’m really pleased to join the INREV team,” Jeff tells us. “There are some exciting challenges ahead in public affairs, and I’m looking forward to making progress in this important area.”

He notes the expansion of the public affairs team as a particularly welcome development in order to boost INREV efforts to address the numerous regulatory initiatives being developed in Brussels. “A Public Affairs Manager who has experience as a public affairs consultant in Brussels will be joining us as in a few weeks, and the research team hopes to add a researcher with a background in regulatory analysis this summer as well,” he notes. “So things are really moving.”

“I’ve enjoyed meeting a number of INREV members at the Annual Conference in Venice and at several training courses and events, but I’m looking forward to getting to know more of them in the months ahead,” he concludes.
