Privacy Statement

Your privacy and the security of your personal data are very important to INREV. INREV wants you to be as comfortable as possible visiting this website. INREV is dedicated to protecting the privacy of those who for example visit the website, ask questions and/or access the members only areas of the website. We may amend this privacy statement from time to time. Please read this privacy statement on a regular basis.

INREV shall only use the personal data you provided to give you access to the members only area of INREV's website and registers if you confirmed to have read the Important Information and your preferences. If you send us an e-mail with questions or comments, we will use your data to respond to your questions or comments, and we may file your questions or comments for future reference. We may also send you information which we think you may find interesting e.g. on our training programs, or services. If you do not - or no longer - wish to receive such information you can opt out of receiving such information by contacting us on i) +31 (0)20 235 8600 / INREV, Gustav Mahlerplein 62, 1082 MA Amsterdam, The Netherlands and/or ii) by e-mail info@inrev.org. INREV shall furthermore use your data to comply with any possible legal obligation.

The members-only area of the INREV website includes a Members’ directory, which lists certain contact details and is visible to members. INREV shall only include the personal data in the Members’ directory of registered main or additional representatives of members of the association and only after they have personally given their permission to include all contact details or only for certain specific items. INREV shall update the information on a regular basis once advised of changes by its members. If you respond or react in a discussion forum your response or reaction is visible to members as well.

Once the personal details are included in the directory each person is individually able to update these online or by contacting the INREV office. The contact address information is mentioned at the bottom of this privacy statement. When the details are updated online an email listing the additions and changes is sent to info@inrev.org. INREV shall take care to amend its records accordingly to make sure the changes are saved when a new dataset overwrites the previous one. INREV does not - to the extent permissible by law - accept any ongoing obligation, responsibility or liability to you or to any third party and is not liable for any errors, omissions, interruptions or delays made within this process.

Your rights

You are entitled to request INREV to inform you as to whether INREV processes personal data relating to you. We will provide you with the requested information within four weeks after such request. The contact address information is mentioned at the bottom of this privacy statement.

In addition, you can request INREV to correct, supplement, delete or block personal data that INREV holds on you if those personal data are factually inaccurate, incomplete or irrelevant to the purpose or purposes of the processing, or are being processed in any other way which infringes any legal provision. The request shall contain the modifications that you request INREV to make. The contact address information is mentioned below. INREV shall inform you within four weeks of receiving the request as to whether and, if so, to what extent it will comply with your request.


INREV makes use of cookies. The domain name of the site server which delivers the cookies is www.inrev.org. We will use a cookie solution to track your movements through the website for research purposes and to improve our site and the service provided to you. By "cookie" we mean a message given to your web browser by the web server. The message is stored in the browser in a text file called inrev.txt. Each time the browser requests a page from the server, the message is sent back.

You do not have to accept cookies to use the website. Although most browsers are initially set to accept cookies, you may reset such a browser to notify you when you receive a cookie or to reject cookies in general. You will find instructions on how to do so in the "HELP"-section of the toolbar of most browsers. While you are not required to accept cookies to access the website, if you reject them, certain services, features or resources of the website may not work properly and you may experience some loss of convenience or timeliness.

Automated procedures are used to help track website usage information, such as how many times a specific page has been viewed (for example through the use of action tags). Action tags (also known as web beacons or gif tags) are invisible to you, and any portion of the website, including e-mails sent by INREV, may contain them. By using action tags, INREV can gain valuable information to improve the website and service(s) offered and measure the effectiveness of advertising and marketing activities.


We want your personal data to remain as secure as possible. We strive to provide secure transmission of your personal data from your computer to our servers through industry-standard techniques. INREV has implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against loss or any unlawful processing. The servers are located in secure and controlled environments, protected from unauthorized access, use or modification. Only employees who need access to your personal data to perform a specific task or function are granted access to such personal data. They must abide by this privacy statement.
