Altera achieves strong returns and investors commit over EUR279 million of new capital in 2021

Real estate investor Altera Vastgoed (hereinafter “Altera”) achieved strong returns on its residential and retail portfolio in 2021. Altera also widened its shareholder base by attracting new capital from investors in the Netherlands, Germany and Italy. New and existing shareholders committed a total of over €279 million of capital, over €72 million of which was deployed in 2021.

Octopus Real Estate inks EUR540 million funding JV with Bayview AM

Real estate lender and investor Octopus Real Estate has agreed upon a funding partnership with affiliates of Bayview Asset Management to provide two-to-five-year senior investment debt to the UK commercial real estate market. The funding partnership has an initial commitment of GBP450 mln (EUR540 million).

Having identified an undersupply of loans in the smaller commercial investment debt market, the funding will target loan opportunities up to GBP25 million, Octopus said.

CBRE IM swoops on core Polish logistics portfolio

CBRE Investment Management has acquired the Nexus portfolio, a 211,803 m2 logistics portfolio located in Poland, from European Logistics Investment, a vehicle jointly managed by Griffin Real Estate, Redefine and Madison International Realty.

Financial details were not disclosed.

The deal was struck on behalf of one of its separate account clients, and comprises a total of eight buildings across six Grade A warehouse complexes.

Redevco to buy Oxford mall for residential-led conversion

European privately-held real estate investment manager Redevco has agreed to acquire Templars Square in Oxford, UK, for GBP38.8 million (EUR42.5) million from New River.

Redevco is purchasing the 1960s local shopping centre with a view to transforming it into a residential-led mixed urban scheme over the next decade. The project has a pre-existing planning consent that includes 226 residential units.

Aviva acquires period Paris office

Aviva Investors Real Estate France, a subsidiary of Aviva France, has acquired an office building in Paris on behalf of one of its clients from the Paris Ile-de-France Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI).

The property known as 18 Toudic is situated in the 10th arrondissement of Paris and was built in 1930. The former customs warehouse features Art Deco architecture.

Group OTT acquires the Campanile Cannes hotel

Group OTT, family office of Jean-François OTT, announces the acquisition of the former Campanile Cannes Mandelieu. The 97-room hotel is located right next to the Cannes Mandelieu airport, specialized in private flights.

The hotel that offers a swimming-pool and large outdoor areas to its guests is surrounded by trees and is an ideal location for guests willing to work remotely or tourists visiting Cannes wanting to enjoy the quiet and relaxing surroundings.
