Colliers appoints ESG chief officer, CEE

Professional services and investment management company Colliers has promoted Andrzej Gutowski to environmental, social and governance (ESG) chief officer in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), including Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, and Slovakia.

Gutowski was formerly ESG director of Colliers in Poland, advising on and coordinating the green and wellbeing certification processes of commercial properties in CEE countries.

To date, Gutowski has consulted on the certification processes of over 100 properties, including new and existing buildings and commercial interiors, through his expertise in LEED, BREEAM, WELL, and Fitwel, as well as safety systems like WELL HSR (health-safety rating) and was involved in ESG reporting and strategy development processes and connected services.

In his extended role, he will be responsible for the implementation of global ESG goals in the CEE region as set out in Colliers’ global ESG approach. He will also focus on expanding and strengthening competencies within the firm's ESG teams across the region.

Gutowski will also continue developing an ESG education programme for CEE employees and support the marketing and communication strategy for ESG services.
