Europa Capital, the pan-European real estate investment manager, has appointed Gwendal Kalkofen to the newly created role of head of real estate finance, reflecting the growth ambitions and increasing scale of Europa Capital’s pan-European investment platform.
With over 15 years of experience in the real estate sector, Kalkofen will primarily be responsible for sourcing, executing and managing debt financing for Europa Capital’s real estate investments in Europe, leveraging his experience to manage new and existing relationships with the traditional and non-bank lending institutions in the region.
Kalkofen, who will be based in Europa Capital’s London office and report to chief financial officer, Kevin D'Arcy, joins from Tristan Capital Partners where he spent the past couple of years as managing director overseeing debt and fund finance.
Prior to joining Tristan Capital Partners, Kalkofen was head of real estate finance at Cromwell Property Group where he was responsible for the liquidity and risk management of its European business.
