There is a significant degree of confusion on how the definition of sustainable investment is applied within the industry and a pressing need for clarity and guidance. This is according to the Sustainable Investment survey conducted by INREV among members encompassing investment managers and funds of funds managers.

The main takeaways from the survey are:

  • There is a critical need for one shared definition of sustainable investment.
