Recent weeks saw the INREV Academy bring together professionals across Europe for two courses exploring core areas of real estate investment: investment analysis and fund valuation and reporting.
The Investment Analysis course took place over 1.5 days in Stockholm, led by Marianne Hemon-Laurens (LaSalle Investment Management). It offered a deep dive into real estate cash flow models and analysis, giving participants the opportunity to enjoy a content-rich programme including:
- Simone Pozzato (Hines), who led a detailed exploration of investment and cash flow model analysis
- Laurens-Jan Portier (a.s.r. real assets investment partners), who examined fee structures and their impact on returns
- Lizzie Dean (Invesco Real Estate), who guided participants through an overview of the tax landscape
- Sally Hurst (M&G Real Estate ), who outlined debt structures and key borrowing considerations
Participants also had the chance to continue discussions in a more informal setting, making the most of Stockholm’s setting and strengthening connections across the group.

Shortly after, the Fund Valuation and Reporting course brought participants to Frankfurt, where the programme focused on valuation processes, reporting frameworks and performance measurement in a rapidly evolving landscape.
- Hugo Monster (UBS Asset Management) opened the day with context on current valuation and reporting practices.
- Shrey Yadav (INREV) provided an overview of the INREV Reporting Framework and supporting tools.
- Peter Koppers (Achmea Real Estate) explored how valuation processes are evolving, including the growing role of automated valuation models and artificial intelligence.
- Martijn Vlasveld (Edmond de Rothschild REIM ) examined sustainability reporting and the application of the INREV ESG SDDS.
- Jef Holland (Deloitte) shared long-standing expertise on INREV NAV and its application in practice.
- Julia Ashford (Europa) covered performance measurement and peer comparison.
- Christine Fritz explained the INREV Fee and Expense Metrics and how they are calculated.
Across both courses, participants engaged with real‑world challenges, practical tools and peer perspectives, reinforcing our focus on hands-on learning and industry relevance.
