SDDS: supporting consistent asset level reporting

As part of this week’s Data Spotlight on asset‑level insights, we revisit the INREV Standard Data Delivery Sheet (SDDS) and an essential component of its transparent reporting: the Asset Level tab. Introduced three years ago and embedded within SDDS 4.0, this feature continues to play a vital role in helping managers and investors exchange information consistently and efficiently, in a format that reflects the Asset Level Index template and the Global Definitions Database.

Our previous blog on Streamlining data exchange: INREV SDDS in action highlights three reasons why asset level reporting through SDDS remains indispensable:

  • It provides a standardised structure for delivering asset level data, reducing duplication and improving clarity for both managers and investors
  • It aligns closely with the Asset Level Index, enabling smoother analysis across vehicle and asset level datasets
  • It supports industry‑wide efforts to enhance transparency, including ESG reporting, through a clear definitions framework and consistent data fields
