Brookfield Asset Management has committed to invest up to SEK 95 billion (€8.7 billion) in artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure in Sweden, centred on a large data-centre site.
The $1 trillion (€879 billion) asset manager, which has been active in the country since 2018, plans to create a new large AI centre in Strängnäs by securing an additional 350,000 square meters land allocation, potentially more than doubling its capacity from 300MW to 750MW over a 10-15 year construction process.
