Areim has acquired nine light industrial properties in Västerås, Sweden, with approximately 17,000 square metres of lettable area. With this acquisition, Areim increases the size of its Västerås portfolio to about 57,000 square metres and expands its total light industrial portfolio in Sweden to roughly 356,000 square metres.
The properties are located in the Hälla, Erikslund, and Bäckby industrial areas and are 95% let to a mix of tenants. Areim is planning to develop the properties’ quality and sustainability profiles through targeted updates, including energy efficiency measures.
