INREV Academy Day 2025 highlights

On Wednesday, 19 November, nearly 150 INREV members gathered at The Savoy in London for the third edition of our annual INREV Academy Day dedicated to learning, inspiration and networking across the INREV community.

The morning began with our Young Professionals Mentorship Programme meetings, where Danny Hodges (JLL) delivered an energising session on persuasive communication, offering practical tools to improve presentation and influencing skills. Participants then broke into 28 mentorship groups for lively discussions on their development goals and reflecting on the first months of the programme.

After lunch, the Academy programme kicked off, moderated by Jessica Hardman (Aboria Capital). Andrea Carpenter (Diversity Talks Real Estate) explored the history and evolution of the non-listed real estate industry and the lasting effects of the Global Financial Crisis on today’s investment strategies. For anyone interested in Andrea's book, "High Rise and Fall - The Making Of The European Real Estate Industry" is available for purchase here. For 50% off, please use the discount code HRF50.

Next, Jahkini Bisselink shared valuable insights into Generation Z, highlighting how their entrepreneurial mindset makes them powerful intrapreneurs within organisations. She offered thoughtful guidance for both junior and senior professionals on cross-generational collaboration.

Following a short break, we welcomed Leif Andersson, Chairman and Founder (Areim), for an engaging interview in which he reflected on his entrepreneurial journey and shared lessons on resilience, leadership and the importance of cultivating a strong organisational culture.

To close the programme, Professor Gianluca Marcato (Henley Business School) introduced the INREV Academy Certificate and proudly presented this year’s award for Best Assessment to Lauren Gill (Octopus Real Estate). Congratulations, Lauren!

We hope everyone was inspired by this insightful day of learning, and went away with new connections. Thank you to everyone who joined us and we’ll see you again soon.
