Marleen Bosma-Verhaegh has been appointed as chief executive officer of Altera, where she will oversee the firm’s strategy and its focus on sustainable value creation across the residential and convenience retail sectors. Bosma-Verhaegh joins from Bouwinvest Real Estate Investors, where she served as chief client officer, and previously held the role of head of research and strategic advisory at the same firm. With over 20 years of experience, she also held senior positions at Blue Sky Group and Achmea Real Estate, where she established a track record in internationalising capital and strategic business development. In her new role, she will support Altera’s target of strengthening its position for investors and partners as it addresses societal challenges in the housing and retail markets. She succeeds Jaap van der Bijl, who will stand down as CEO effective 1 July due to his retirement on 21 September.
