Calling all INREV Young Professionals to join us for Link and Learn on 13 October in London or 20 October in Amsterdam from 09:00 to 13:30 local time.
This year, we focus on one of the most valuable professional skills: communicating effectively across different personalities, communication styles and cultural backgrounds. Through the interactive workshop Communication Across Differences, you'll gain practical techniques to handle feedback, navigate challenging conversations and build stronger working relationships.
During the session, we will explore:
- Giving and receiving feedback through practical approaches that make feedback specific, constructive and easier to act on.
- Difficult conversations and how to approach them with clarity, curiosity and confidence.
- Communication styles and personality, including an introduction to Insights colour energies and how different preferences influence the way messages are given, received and interpreted.
- Culture and communication, exploring how directness, hierarchy, disagreement and relationship-building can vary across people and cultures.
- Adapting your communication style to the person in front of you while remaining authentic.
Through actor-led workplace scenarios, discussion and interactive exercises, participants will explore real-life situations, test alternative approaches and develop practical communication skills they can use immediately. The session will end with lunch, offering participants an opportunity to network with each other and continue discussions from the workshop.
