Younger vintage vehicles, those with a year of first close between 2014 and 2016, delivered the highest performance with a pooled IRR of 16.7% and an equally weighted IRR of 15.3%, according to the first release of the IRR Quarterly Index for Q1 2018.

David Kirkby the managing director of Cromwell Property Group’s European business has joined Avignon Capital.
The €700 million European property investment firm said it has appointed Kirkby as director of capital accounts to help drive the company’s growth plan.
Kirkby was the CEO of Valad Europe prior to it being acquired by Australia’s Cromwell. He led Cromwell’s European business following the takeover and later became an executive director.

In addition, after almost thirty years with the firm, Dorrien Thomas has announced that he will retire at the end of 2018. The €395 billion asset manager has hired three senior managers to join Heiko Schupp who has been appointed to the newly created role of global head of infrastructure investments.
Schupp joins from Hastings Fund Management where he was a senior portfolio manager.
