In an increasingly sophisticated industry, the ability to evaluate and compare performance is an important factor in supporting investment decision-making and attracting further allocations to non-listed real estate. The INREV Performance Measurement Analysis online course examines the building blocks of performance measurement as well as how the industry puts it into practice. The course covers approaches and challenges of performance measure, the investor and investment manager perspectives, as well as the path to further standardisation and improvements.

This online course, which takes place over three sessions between 23 November and 01 December 2023, is delivered by leading industry experts through presentations with plenty of time for Q&A and group discussion, as well as individual and group assignments.

The online course will cover:

  • How performance measurement is used in practice by institutional investors
  • Fund-level performance and how to measure it from an investment manager perspective
  • The challenges of peer comparison in the non-listed real estate industry
  • How investment performance standards and guidelines apply to the non-listed real estate industry

Who should attend the online course?

The online course is aimed at experienced professionals with working experience in the non-listed real estate industry and who want to improve their knowledge of performance measurement its practical application or gain a better understanding of the appropriate use of data and reporting of performance information. Upon completion of the course participants will be able to:

  • Understand the appropriate use of data in performance measurement and reporting
  • Comprehend and have a good overview of performance measurement practice within the industry
  • Have a good overview of reporting standards for performance evaluation
  • Understand the availability and use of indices from an investor and investment manager perspectives including their benefits and limitations

This course is open to members and non-members and counts towards the INREV/ Henley Certificate for non-listed real estate investments

General

1.1. This INREV training course is open to INREV members and non-members.  

1.2. For all attendees, the Membership Terms and Conditions fully apply. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between any provisions of these course Terms and Conditions and the Membership Terms and Conditions, first these course Terms and Conditions and then the Membership Terms and Conditions shall prevail.

1.3. Attendees will hereinafter together be referred to as “Applicants”.

1.4. The costs of attending the training course (Attendance Fee) is €350 for members and €450 for non-members.

1.5. Admission to this course is subject to registration and subsequent written confirmation of that registration by INREV. Please note that limited seats per organisation are available (limited to three seats per member organisation and one seat per non-member organisation).

1.6. All personal data provided to INREV by Applicants, during the application process or afterwards, will be processed in accordance with the Privacy Statement of INREV, which can be found on the INREV website.

 

Cancellation and attendance policy

2.1. After registration for the online course, cancellation is possible if that cancellation request is written to training@inrev.org before Thursday 09 November 2023. 

2.2 In case of a no-show the full course fee is due.

2.3 To deliver a successful course, active contribution is of huge importance and therefore we expect participants to attend all sessions live (incl. the break-out sessions and case studies). If you fail to attend a session, we are regrettably unable to grand you with the course Certificate of Attendance.
