Aligning Real Estate Sustainability Indicators (ARESI) briefing

The Aligning Real Estate Sustainability Indicators (ARESI) white paper aims to address existing ambiguities in real estate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) within the European legislative framework, in order to unlock investment and drive decarbonisation of real estate. Robbie Epsom, EMEA Head of Sustainability at CBRE Investment Management, and Hugh Garnett, Investor Strategies Senior Specialist - Real Assets at IIGCC presented this industry proposal to enhance clarity and consistency in sustainability reporting.

European ODCE Quarterly Index

The Index is wholly comprised of open end core commingled equity real estate funds that have a strategy to invest across pan Europe and across multiple sectors. Funds must comply with a strict eligibility criteria for four consecutive quarters in a row to be included in the index. 

INREV Quarterly Index

The INREV Index is a performance index for European non-listed real estate funds investing 90% or more in Europe. The information for the quarterly goes back to Q2 2000. The Quarterly Index is published 8 weeks after the end of the quarter, and reports are available in PDF format. The reports cover the performance of non-listed funds in Euro, USD, GBP, JPY, AUD and in Local Currency and are available for members only, please login to download.

INREV response to EFRAG ESRS review

In response to the EFRAG public call for input, INREV supports the EU’s efforts to enhance and simplify the sustainable finance framework. We encourage alignment with existing standards and practices, such as the INREV ESG SDDS and ARESI metrics, and emphasise the importance of interoperability among existing frameworks.

Maximise long-term investment value through urban development in London

DWS has repositioned a vacant asset in London’s Fitzrovia into a highly energy-efficient, wellness-focused workplace. By retaining much of the original structure, the redevelopment achieved a 30% reduction in primary energy demand and now targets BREEAM Outstanding and WELL Gold certifications. Strategic enhancements include rooftop extensions, upgraded amenities, and all-electric systems. Delivered in a constrained market with high occupier expectations, the project exemplifies how DWS leverages smart retrofitting to unlock long-term value and reduce environmental impact.
