The Q2 European ODCE Index reveals healthy returns

At 2.42%, the Q2 2022 European ODCE Index delivered healthy returns, albeit notably lower than in Q1 2022 

Key highlights:

  • The European ODCE Fund Quarterly Index continues to grow. In the second quarter of 2022, the gross asset value (GAV) surpassed €46 billion, and one new fund entered the Index, increasing the number of participants to 16. 
  • The Q2 2022 performance reached 2.42%, a notable decrease from 3.35% delivered in Q1 2022 as capital growth slows. 
  • Real estate allocations to offices slid below the 40% mark for the first time since 2016.

European ODCE Quarterly Index

The Index is wholly comprised of open end core commingled equity real estate funds that have a strategy to invest across pan Europe and across multiple sectors. Funds must comply with a strict eligibility criteria for four consecutive quarters in a row to be included in the index.
