As sustainability continues to evolve from a compliance-driven topic into a key driver of long-term value creation, the course explores how sustainability considerations are shaping investment strategies, asset management, and investor expectations.

Through interactive online modules, videos by leading industry experts, case studies, and break-out room discussions, participants will gain an overview of key sustainability concepts, terminology, and market developments relevant to real estate today. The course examines the industry’s role in addressing climate change, supporting the transition to net zero, and responding to evolving regulatory and reporting requirements.
Led by Emily Hamilton, the programme is delivered fully online through four on-demand eLearning modules, allowing participants to complete the course at their own pace over four weeks. Participants are encouraged to engage through the discussion board, and two live online Q&A sessions with industry experts are included as part of the course.
The course will cover the following topics:
- Module 1 – Introduction to sustainability
- Module 2 – Climate risk management
- Module 3 – Building a successful sustainability strategy
- Module 4 – Future trends in sustainability
Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:
- Understand key sustainability concepts and terminology relevant to non-listed real estate
- Recognise how sustainability can support long-term value creation across investment and asset management activities
- Gain insight into climate-related challenges and decarbonisation efforts
- Understand the influence of reporting frameworks and regulations, including the EU Taxonomy and SFDR
- Develop awareness of emerging sustainability topics such as social impact and biodiversity
