The 2025 INREV Annual German Vehicles Index has shown that Spezialfonds outperformed Publikumsfonds for the first time in three years. At 1.70%, Spezialfonds’ performance turned positive from -0.31% in 2024. The performance of Publikumsfonds turned negative to -0.18% in 2025 (from 1.62% in 2024), delivering their lowest and their first negative performance since 2010.
Key highlights include:
- The index posted a total return of 0.68% in 2025, slightly down from 0.75% in 2024.
- At 1.49%, German vehicles focused on the domestic market have outperformed the other geographies tracked by the index.
- All sector specialists reported a year-on-year improvement in performance, with the residential outperforming the other sectors.
