The INREV Advanced Net Asset Value (NAV) training course gives finance and accounting professionals the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of INREV NAV. The course, which consists of an eLearning module in combination with a 1.5-day classroom training on 06 and 07 July 2022, has been specially designed for those professionals that already have a good understanding of INREV NAV and its adjustments.

During this advanced course, we will address the reporting aspects of the INREV Guidelines which are used to calculate INREV NAV and equip you with a better understanding of market best practice and examples for adjustments, calculations and practical challenges.

This course presumes a good understanding of INREV NAV as it will examine more detailed analysis for adjustments. This includes extensive analysis of the topic as well as the practical applications for specific vehicle types. There will also be a special focus on adjustments for fair value of assets and liabilities, as well as those related to the effects of the settlement.

In addition, participants will also have the chance to share their NAV examples and relative queries with INREV prior to the course so that they can be discussed during the training.

The course will include the following topics:

  • Analysis of the INREV NAV Guidelines module
  • Detailed adjustments and advanced calculation examples
  • Common challenges when producing the calculations
  • Reporting requirements for investor reports and the Standard Delivery Data Sheet (SDDS)

The course will be given by leading industry experts with an emphasis on group discussions and case studies to allow participants to share their views.

Who should attend the course?

The course will be of interest for investors, Investment managers, fund of fund managers as well as advisors who play a central role in calculating and review INREV NAV. For example, CFOs, financial officers, fund controllers, accountants, auditors, and financial analysts and managers. Upon completion of the course participants will be able to:

  • Understand the approach and details of INREV NAV calculations including in-depth adjustments
  • Recognise and understand best practice in the market for INREV NAV

eLearning

For the INREV Advanced NAV course, INREV introduces a 60-minute eLearning module as prerequisite for participation in the training. This additional service will provide a stepping stone to the classroom training to ensure that everyone is at the same level before they undertake the more advanced courses. At the end of the eLearning module, your NAV knowledge will be tested via a small case study.

There are no additional costs associated with participation in this initial module.

This course is open to members and non-members and is an elective course for the INREV/ Henley Certificate for Non-listed Real Estate Investments.

General

1.1. This INREV training course is open to INREV members and non-members.  

1.2. For all attendees, the Membership Terms and Conditions fully apply. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between any provisions of these course Terms and Conditions and the Membership Terms and Conditions, first these course Terms and Conditions and then the Membership Terms and Conditions shall prevail.

1.3. Attendees will hereinafter together be referred to as “Applicants”.

1.4. The costs of attending the training course (Attendance Fee) is €900 for members and €1100 for non-members.

1.5. Admission to this course is subject to registration and subsequent written confirmation of that registration by INREV. Please note that limited seats per organisation are available (limited to three seats per member organisation and one seat per non-member organisation).

1.6. All personal data provided to INREV by Applicants, during the application process or afterwards, will be processed in accordance with the Privacy Statement of INREV, which can be found on the INREV website.

 

Cancellation and attendance policy

2.1. After registration for the online course, cancellation is possible if that cancellation request is written to training@inrev.org before Wednesday 22 June 2022. 

2.2 In case of a no-show the full course fee is due.

2.3 To deliver a successful course, active contribution is of huge importance and therefore we expect participants to attend all sessions live (incl. the break-out sessions and case studies). If you fail to attend a session, we are regrettably unable to grand you with the course Certificate of Attendance.
