Description

Fund Structuring: Tax Considerations

, Online

The INREV Fund Structuring: Tax Considerations online course will provide delegates with a practical understanding of tax aspects that need to be taken into consideration when structuring a new vehicle.

This online course, which consists of a series of three sessions across two weeks, enables participants to acquire a good understanding of where fund structuring sits in the tax landscape as well as the key tax drivers of a robust and efficient non-listed real estate vehicle structure.

Topics covered include sustainable tax structures from both a fund strategy and investor point of view. The course will also examine the effect of new tax regimes on the non-listed real estate industry with a special focus on INREV’s Code of Tax Conduct as well as the implications of ATAD (Anti-Tax Avoidance Directive) I, II and III.

With a mix of presentations, Q&A and group discussions, participants will learn how to execute and integrate tax considerations into the fund structuring process. The course will end with a case study.

The course will cover:

  • Introduction to tax structuring;
  • The INREV Code of Tax Conduct;
  • ATAD I, II and III and related examples and issues;
  • Substance;
  • Practical examples of how rules should be implemented across jurisdictions.

Who should attend?
The course will be of interest to experienced professionals in the non-listed real estate industry who wish to gain an understanding of tax implications for fund structuring.
