The European ODCE Annual Index reached €31.5 billion at the end of 2019

The second annual consultation release of the European ODCE Index includes 13 funds, representing a gross asset value (GAV) of €31.5 billion. 

Key highlights of the European ODCE Annual Index 2020:

  • Gross Asset Value (GAV) of ODCE participating funds reached €31.5 billion at end 2019, up from €23.9 billion at the end of previous year.
  • The calculation of the annual performance of the index has been updated to reflect market practices and now shows a 4-quarter chain-linked performance for the year. Performance for 2019 was 6.44%, down from 6.72% posted over the previous year.
  • Allocation to offices increased from 41% as at end of last year to 45% as at end of 2019, meanwhile, exposure to retail sector fell from 33% to 25% at end of 2019.

European ODCE Annual Index

The Index is wholly comprised of open end core commingled equity real estate funds that have a strategy to invest across pan Europe and across multiple sectors. Funds must comply with a strict eligibility criteria for four consecutive quarters in a row to be included in the index.
