Incorporating environment, social and governance (ESG) practices into real estate has become one of the most pressing issues in the industry. With the urban environment being a main contributor to carbon emissions, the pressure to meet regulatory and industry efforts to achieve net zero is top of mind for investors and managers. In addition, more priority is being given to how real estate can contribute to better social outcomes by considering aspects such as diversity and inclusion, and health and wellbeing.
The INREV ESG for Non-listed Real Estate Investments online course examines different ESG strategies for investors and managers, as well as best practice across environment and social aspects.
The course, which consists of a series of four sessions spread between 29 March and 06 April 2022, will cover emerging standards and legislation for ESG as well as the role of net zero and how to manage ESG through the lifecycle of an asset. It will consider the manager and investor perspectives, examining key challenges for players and how both approach developing and managing ESG strategies. The course will also cover impact investing and the current challenges for this approach.
This INREV online course is delivered by leading investors and investment managers and includes breakout discussions and case studies.
